Supporting the responsible use of nanomaterials
Nanosafety Platform general presentation
The Nanosafety Platform runs R&D and Services programs in parallel. Our R&D covers toxicology; ecotoxicology; integration of nanomaterials into industrial processes and lifecycle management; industrial health and safety; and characterization and methods. Our services for businesses include prevention and response training, consulting, and audits.
leveraging the Nanosafety
Platform’s in-house resources, the French Alternative Energies and Atomic
Energy Commission’s (CEA) resources, plus the resources of our network of academic
research lab partners LNE, INRS, INERIS, and others.
ensures that we accurately assess your needs and identify the right resources to meet those needs; our single-source approach also ensures responsive service and fast turnaround times.

The Nanosafety Platform offers a unique range of
services leveraging state-of-the-art equipment (high-resolution cryo-TEM,
FFF-ICP-MS), a very high R&D capacity, a multidisciplinary team (training,
measurement, medical and biological testing and audits), and closely integrated
R&D and operational (risk prevention) activities.
CEA is a French government-funded technological research organisation in four main areas: low-carbon energies, defense and security, information technologies and health technologies. A prominent player in the European Research Area, it is involved in setting up collaborative projects with many partners around the world.
